ROOF FAQ

How long does a roof replacement take?
Most standard residential roofs in San Diego (1,500–3,000 sq ft) are completed in a single day. Larger homes, complex rooflines, and commercial projects may take 2–3 days. We give you an accurate time estimate during the inspection visit.

Does homeowner's insurance cover roof replacement?
If your roof was damaged by a covered event (wind, hail, falling objects, fire), your homeowner's insurance typically covers replacement minus your deductible. Summit works directly with adjusters and provides the documentation they require. We can inspect and help you file a claim at no charge.

What roofing materials do you work with?
We install GAF architectural shingles (our primary system), concrete and clay tile, flat/low-slope systems (TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen), and metal roofing. We'll recommend the best material for your climate, HOA requirements, and budget during the estimate.

Do you offer financing?
Yes. We partner with GreenSky to offer 0% financing for 18 months for qualifying homeowners. We also accept all major credit cards, checks, and ACH transfers. Ask your estimator for details — approval typically takes under 5 minutes.

Are you licensed to work in San Diego?
